Ruth Ann Corbin, of Harrisonville, Missouri was born January 27, 1932 near Garden City, Missouri the daughter of Ernest Voliver and Alice Juanita (Edmonds) Riffle. She departed this life on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at the Cass Regional Medical Center, Harrisonville at the age of 84 years, 2 months and 3 days.
Ruth Ann attended Latour School from the first to the twelfth grade. She had lived on a farm until graduation, then moved to Harrisonville. Ruth Ann was employed as a waitress in the Old Hotel on the square and later moved to Kansas City and was employed at Hallmark Cards. In 1952, Ruth Ann was united in marriage to Harold Armintrout. Harold was killed in a train wreck in 1977. In 1979, she was married to Dean T. Corbin and lived her remaining years in Harrisonville.
Ruth Ann was a devoted housewife and mother of two children, Bob and Diane. She enjoyed working in her flowers and garden. Dean and her loved to travel, go on cruises and taking trips to the casinos.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Leroy Riffle.
Ruth Ann is survived by her son, Bob Armintrout, Kansas City, Missouri; a daughter, Diane Wissinger and husband Dave, Harrisonville, Missouri; a grandson, Jason Frock, Harrisonville; two great-granddaughters; a sister, Barbara Lovewell and husband Art, Latour, Missouri; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
