Saragay Dewey Hight, 82, passed away at Cass Regional Medical Center in Harrisonville, Missouri on Tuesday, April 15th, 2025.
Saragay was born on January 15th, 1943 in Appleton City, Missouri to Daniel and Dimple (Fulton) Dewey. She graduated from Osceola High School (Missouri) in 1961.
She ran a dance studio for several years in Clinton, Missouri.
She began her career as a legal secretary at Hight and Ballew Law Office where she worked for a number of years.
She met her husband Charles E. Hight and they were married on December 5th, 1973.
The couple have lived in their home in Harrisonville, Missouri since their marriage.
She was preceded in death by her parents Daniel and Dimple (Fulton) Dewey.
Saragay is survived by her husband Charles E. Hight, Harrisonville, son Chandler Fulton Hight and fiancée Amanda M. Marotta, Kansas City, sister Christine and brother-in-law Ron Williams, Owasso, Oklahoma.
Saragay loved her family, especially her son, their various pets including their cat, Lucky. She enjoyed an active lifestyle and traveling. She was especially fond of spending time at their homes in Maine and the Lake of the Ozarks.
She will be deeply missed and the memory of her spirit and sense of humor will be forever in our hearts and minds.
Cremation with a Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 10, 2025 at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Harrisonville, Missouri with inurnment at St. Peter's Episcopal Church Columbarium. Visitation to follow the service at Spencer Hall, Harrisonville, Missouri.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research and sent to Dickey Funeral Home, P.O. Box 432, Harrisonville, Missouri 64701.
