Shannon M. (Rehms) Jensen

Shanon Marie Rehms-Jensen, 45, of South Kansas City, Missouri, was born, August 29, 1975, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Kansas City. She passed away Thursday, February 18, 2021, at her home.

Shanon attended Raytown High School. In January 1996, she was united in marriage to Donnie Jensen. They divorced 11 years later.

Shanon was vibrant, free spirited, and took pride in caring for others. She had a child-like spirit that loved glitter, Dr. Pepper, and making people laugh.

Shanon was preceded in death by her father, Wayne E Rehms; one sister, Shalene Hedges; one brother, Shane Hedges; and her maternal grandmother, Claudine Larimer.

She is survived by her partner, Bobby Hilden of South Kansas City; ex-husband, Donnie Jensen of Kansas City; mother, Jennifer (and Evan) Larimer-Woodworth of Pleasant Hill; sister, Sherri Hedges of Kansas City; two brothers, Shad Rehms of Gravois Mills and Cody (and Hillary) Rehms of Blue Springs. She leaves her children, whom, she loved so much, Alexis Rehms of Kansas City and Allisen (and Gavon) Cordell of Goldsboro, North Carolina; her beautiful granddaughters, McKenna Cordell and McKayla Cordell of Goldsboro, North Carolina. She also leaves 4 nephews, 4 nieces; 3 great nieces, 7 great nephews; and many friends and family.

A celebration of Shanon’s life will be held 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at the Stanley-Dickey Funeral Home, Pleasant Hill, Missouri. Reverend D. Kent Deubner will officiate. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until service time.
