Shirley Ann Jones of Peculiar, Missouri was born March 18, 1946 in Kansas City, Missouri the daughter of Robert Elmo and Irene Fay (Johnson) Burch. She departed this life on Thursday, June 9, 2016 surrounded by love and family at the Crown Care Center, Harrisonville, Missouri at the age of 70 years, 2 months and 2 days.
On February 3, 1979, Shirley was united in marriage to Merl Duane Jones in Belton, Missouri.
Shirley was employed as a school bus driver for the Ray-Pec school district for many years. She was baptized on December 21, 1996 and was a devoted servant to Jehovah at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness in Peculiar, Missouri. Shirley enjoyed working on puzzles, planting flowers, raising plants, crocheting and helping with Kingdom Hall builds. She loved her large family and enjoyed the time spent together.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Merl Jones on July 9, 2014; a step-son, Dale Jones; siblings, Emma Martin, Gail Karmen, Sandra Smith, Robert Burch and Darrell Burch.
Shirley is survived by her children, Thomas Clabough, Christina Renfrow, Peculiar, Missouri, Joseph Clabough, Timothy Clabough and wife Holly all of Belton, Missouri, Benny Clabough and wife Bobbie, Peculiar, Missouri, Kenny Clabough, Belton, Missouri, Tiffany Jones, Raymore, Missouri, Tamber Stuart and husband Michael, Belton, Missouri; two step-sons, Danny Jones, Kansas City, Missouri, Darrin Jones Dallas, Texas; 27 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Lawrence Burch and John Burch; other relatives and friends.
Cremation. A Celebration of Life Service was held Sunday June 12, 2016 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness, 21309 S. Harper Rd, Peculiar, Missouri.
