Shurman Lee Roughton, of Archie, Missouri was born September 15, 1939 in Bentonville, Arkansas the son of Truman and Teresa (Ruhl) Roughton. He departed this life on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at his home at the age of 81 years, 11 months and 11 days.
On May 3, 2014 Shurman was united in marriage to Sylvia Lea (Culton) Clemons in Joplin, Missouri.
Shurman owned and operated many restaurants including the Red Barn Restaurant in Harrisonville, Missouri. He loved to fish especially trout fishing in Arkansas.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia Roughton; a sister, Hazel and a brother, Gordon.
Shurman is survived by a son, Bart Roughton and wife Cheryl, Harrisonville, Missouri; 7 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; a sister, Joann; other relatives and friends.
Cremation. No services scheduled at this time.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.
