Thurlo Frank Forester

Thurlo Frank Forester age 75 of Harrisonville, Missouri departed this life Monday, August 28, 2023 at Silverado of Lee's Summit, Missouri surrounded by love and family. Thurlo had battled Lewy Body Dementia for the past six years.
 
He was born at home in Moody, MO on July 7, 1948.  He was raised on the family farm during his childhood and graduated from West Plains High School in 1966. 
 
After high school he moved to Kansas City and was married to Jane Comer in April 1968, and they have been together for the last 55 years. During that time they raised two children, Heath and Heather. 
 
Thurlo spent the majority of his working career as a truck driver for CCC, Crouse Cartage Company. He was a proud member of the Teamsters Union, Local 41 for 30 years, and served as union steward for several years. While working full time he also owned and operated T and J Dozing for seven years. The last ten years of his working career was with Blue Valley Public Safety setting tornado sirens all over the country. 
 
He always loved fixing things.  He was old school, if it broke, fix it, don't go buy a new one.  He could fix or fabricate anything.  He never met a tool he didn’t love!
 
Thurlo and Jane traveled to many places and took many road trips with life long friends. As well as many road trips all over the country on the Harley. They spent 15 winters in AZ and spent many countless hours riding RZR's in the mountains with many good friends.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Ruth Forester.  He is survived by his wife Jane, children Heath (Patsi), Heather (Jay) and two grandchildren, Paden (Kristi), Jenna, two great grandchildren and sisters, Connie, Toby and Debra and many nieces and nephews. 

Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.

Family will receive friends 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.
