Werner J. Keller age 83, a beloved husband, father, and cherished grandfather, passed away peacefully on September 19th, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love, hard work, and a passion for life.
Born in Germany on August 22, 1940, to Nikolaus and Viktoria Keller. Werner, referred to by many as Opa, came to know the United States as his home, bringing with him a strong work ethic and family values. He was a skilled butcher, and with his dedication to his craft was able to provide a wonderful life for his family. Beyond his work, he had a passion and talent for building and tinkering with engines and machinery. He had a love for the outdoors, especially his time at the lake, whether it was out on the water or hunting and fishing. However his true passion was his family, he radiated warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for his children and grandchildren. His love for his wife, Ilse, was an inspiration to many and was truly something for the storybooks, she was the center of his world and this showed.
Opa was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Maria, his son Robert, and his great-granddaughter Hallie. He is survived by his wife Ilse Keller and Son, Nikolaus(Shannon) Keller. Along with his grandchildren Nik(Candi) Keller, Shawn(Lindsay) Keller, Brandon(Kristin) Keller, Britney Keller, Kaylynn(Jake) Christopherson, Brandon Oldham, and Shawnee Donahue as well as his great-grandchildren Abigail, Nikolaus, Shawn, Lukas, Summer, Jaiden, Emily, Katie, Lincoln, Carrie, Kensley, and Baby Boy Keller.
A Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 30th, 2023 at Dickey Funeral Home, with a Celebration of Life Service to follow.
