Whitney R. Fox

Whitney Renee’ Fox was born March 17, 1994, and stepped into heaven on January 15, 2023 at the age of 28. 

Whitney was first and foremost someone who loved and followed Jesus, and she lived her life to make Christ known. She was a loving wife, a great mother, and a daughter who loved her family and friends like crazy. Whitney loved all things Disney, coffee, snuggling babies, the beach, music, and bright lipstick. 

Whitney lived a full life. She spent time in Africa, Taiwan, and Vancouver doing missionary work. She was active in her church and helped lead worship for over a decade. She became a mother in 2017 and spent every moment loving her family well. She loved all who she came in contact with. Whitney knew she was loved by God, and longed for the world to know that truth. 

Whitney is survived by her Grandparents, Charles and Ginger Funderburk of Harrisonville and Vonell and Hosea McNew of Monroe, LA; parents Jeff and Jennifer Funderburk of Harrisonville; sister Kayla and brother Nicolas; her husband Derek and their children Silvia, Theodore, and Graham; as well as numerous other relatives and friends. 

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Heart of Life Church in Garden City, Missouri. Graveside services will follow for family and close friends at Clearfork Cemetery near Garden City, Missouri. Family will receive friends from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. 

Memorial contributions may be made to Heart of Life Church and may be sent to Heart of Life Church, 100 E. Pearl St., Harrisonville, Missouri. There is also a GoFundMe in place to help support the family.
