William "Bill" R. Nay

William “Bill” Ralph Nay of Lee’s Summit, Missouri formerly of Harrisonville, Missouri was born November 14, 1917 in Kansas City, Missouri the son of Ralph and Iva (Burton) Nay. He departed this life on Sunday, October 25, 2020 at the St. Luke’s East Hospital, Lee’s Summit at the age of 102 years, 11 months and 11 days.
On December 1, 1951, Bill was united in marriage to Patricia May Thackrey in Kansas City, Missouri.
Bill was employed as an office manager for Lipton Tea in Kansas City, Missouri and then later in Chicago, Illinois. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathleen Venchus on June 6, 2001 and an infant sister.
Bill is survived by his wife, Pat Nay of the home; a son, Mark Nay and wife Marsha, Grandview, Missouri; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends
A Memorial Graveside service will be held at a later date at the Orient Cemetery in Harrisonville, Missouri.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.
