William Lee ""Billy"" Umphfrey III, of Fort Collins, Colorado, was born August 22, 1981 in Cameron, Missouri, the son of William Lee Umphfrey Jr. and Phyllis Diane Umphfrey. He departed this life Thursday, June 7, 2007, in Buffalo, Missouri, at the age of 25 years, 9 months and 15 days.
On June 2, 2007, Billy was united in common law marriage to Nicole Dannielle Kilgore.
Billy was a caregiver at the Meadowbrook Homes, Harrisonville, Missouri for 6 years. He attended Strafford High School, Strafford, Missouri. Billy loved his family and spending time with his kids, playing video games, bowling and photography. He enjoyed going to the Rocky Mountain National Park in Estes Park, Colorado. He had lived in Harrisonville before moving to Fort Collins in July of 2006.
He is survived by his wife, Nicole D. Kilgore, a son, Kadden J. Kilgore and daughter, Vivian D. Kilgore all of the home; his father, William L. Umphfrey Jr., Buffalo, Missouri; his mother, Phyllis D. Umphfrey, Springfield, Missouri; a brother, Bob Umphfrey, Buffalo, Missouri; a sister, Melissa Bottoms, Smithville, Missouri; other relatives and many friends.
Cremation. A memorial service was held Saturday, June 9, 2007 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.
Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Children's Education Fund and may be left at the funeral home.
